Notice of lifting the prohibition on entering the University in response to bomb threats

A threatening letter was sent to Saitama University, stating that the University would be bombed at noon, May 27 and with the cooperation of the police, Saitama University had prohibited all entries to the campus and strengthened security by checking for any suspicious objects on campus.

As a result, no explosion has occurred and no particular abnormality was found in any of the facilities in our campus.

Therefore, Saitama University have lifted the prohibition on entering the premises as of 15:00 on May 27.

Normal business hours will resume tomorrow, Friday, May 28. Please note that the campus facilities will remain closed for the rest of the day today.
