“Saitama University Global Campus Evening 2017” was held on December 13, attracting about 270 people in the second cafeteria on campus. This evening event aims to promote exchange among the international students, between the international students and the Japanese students on campus, and to introduce the outcome of 4 international programs of the university.

Part 1 started with opening speech by President Yamaguchi, followed by the President of International Society of Saitama University (ISSSU)’s welcome remark, 4 students’ presentations representing each International Program. Then 2 volunteer organizations (SITB and FF) were introduced. They have been supporting our international students to adjust to the life in Japan.

In Part 2, a toast was made in various languages. Then, international students performed the dress show, dances and songs, and the student circle performed powerful Japanese drums and Kendama, or wooden ball tossing show. After each performance, the students were having a joyful time talking about their performances to each other, and it turned out to be a special exchange evening.
