Training Program for King Prajadhipok’s Institute (KPI), Thailand was conducted

Saitama University conducted a training program on February 7, 2017 for 32 executive officers of several ministries/government sectors in Thailand, in response to a request from the King Prajadhipok’s Institute (KPI),

The program began amicably with SU President Hiroki Yamaguchi’s welcome remarks on his own two-year experience in Thailand as a scholar. 

These KPI trainees listened to lectures, “Urban Transport Planning in Japan” by Professor Hisashi Kubota, “Traffic Accident and its Countermeasures in Japan” by Assoc. Prof. Aya Kojima, both from the Graduate School of Science and Engineering, and “Transit Oriented Development in Japan and Thailand” by Mr Pornraht Pongprasert, a doctoral student.

During the Q&A session, countermeasures and efforts in reducing traffic accidents and traffic control/enforcement in Japan were discussed among the program participants.
