Information for STEPS students studying for 4 terms (2025 Spring)

1.Things to do when you travel during the break

 1. If you live in I-house and will be away for more than 3 days, submit “Notification of Overnight Absence” below.

 2. If you travel abroad (outside Japan, including your home country), submit “Notice of Leave” below.

   *I-house residents travelling abroad must submit both 1) and 2)

In either case, please make sure to dispose all garbage before departure.

 

2.Confirmation of grades for the last semester

You can check the grades of the last semester from ”Campus Square” system.

Term 4 grades will be available on 18th February.

If you need a printed transcript, please contact us.

 

3.Signature for JASSO scholarship payment

※JASSO scholarship recipients only

 You will need to come to the university once a month during spring break to sign.

 The deadlines for February-April are as follows ;

 February : 3rd to 5th

 March : 3rd to 5th

 April : 1st to 10th         

 *If you are not in Saitama during the above period and cannot come to sign, you must inform us about this in advance. We will allow you to extend the signing deadline until the 21th of that month. In this case, transfers will be made later than usual.

 

4.Intensive Japanese Language Course

    Pre-application for the Intensive Japanese Language Course of new semester must be done by March 21th, through the below online form.

    *If there is even the slightest possibility of taking Japanese courses, please apply through the forms once. After taking the placement test and participating in the orientation, you can decide whether you actually register for a course. (If you don’t apply here,  you will not be able to take Japanese course in principle)

             *Students who have previously taken an intensive Japanese language course do not need to take a placement test.

     

    5.Registration for Courses

    The course registration period for the 1st  and 2nd terms is as follow. Please be sure to complete your course registration by this period.

     2025.4.7(Mon) 15:00 PM – 2025.4.25(Fri) 11:00 AM

    If you have any courses that you cannot register for yourself, please submit the “COURSE ADD AND DROP REQUEST” form below.

    7.Orientation for Course registration and other events

    We are planning to hold the orientations and events that you can participate in with the new coming STEPS students and Japanese students as follows. Participation in Orientation for I-house move-in orientation is mandatory(If your roommate changes).

    Events for international students are planned for 10 and 12 Apr (All events are free of charge). If you would like to attend them, sign up by 14 Mar via the link below.

    8.Tutor For New Semester

    New tutors will be in charge from new semester.

    The tutor’s name and contact information will be announced by the end of March.
