In FY 2021, classes in Term 1 and Term 2 have been conducted in various forms, such as online, based on the principle of face-to-face. However, even now, COVID-19 has not been ended, and it is still difficult to conduct face-to-face classes completely.
Therefore, Saitama University will continue to give top priority to ensuring the safety and health of the students and their families, and in order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19, classes will be conducted as follows in Term 3
and Term 4.
The class schedule for Term 4 will be announced later.
○From the viewpoint of securing opportunities for face-to-face classes, the classes will be conducted as follows;
After the 3rd term onward, classes are scheduled to be conducted in HyFlex mode (Hybrid Flexible: combine face-to-face and online classes) in principle.
【Foreign Language Subject】
Continuing with the 2nd term, classes will be conducted online using web conferencing systems such as Zoom.
Saitama University will apply the “2/3 Rule(reduce classroom capacity to 2/3)” and “1/3 Rule (reduce classroom capacity to 1/3)” for specialized subjects, as well as the rules for practical skills and practical training set up by each department.
○In case classes are conducted in HyFlex mode, students can choose how to attend the classes; face-to-face or online.
When you attend face-to-face or HyFlex classes, please be sure to register for the seat location confirmation system.
○The forms of classes (Face-to-face, high-flex, real-time, on-demand) will be specified in the syllabus by August 26 (the day before the start of registration), so please make sure to check it.
○Students will be informed of the implementation by utilizing WebClass, etc., especially by the start of the first class.
○Class hours, etc.
Each period is 80 minutes. (Except the 6th and 7th periods).

Period 2 10: 30 ~ 11: 50
Period 3 13: 30 ~ 14: 50
Period 4 15: 00 ~ 16: 20
Period 5 16: 30 ~ 17: 50
Period 6 18: 00 ~ 19: 30
Period 7 19: 40 ~ 21: 10
○Please be aware that there is a possibility that restrictions on the prevention of infection may be eased or that the entire course may be switched to remote classes again, due to the future situation of COVID-19,
