Having been selected for the “Multicultural Campus Project Toward Social Impact,” funded by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), Saitama University is committed to addressing the diverse challenges associated with Internationalization at Home in local communities. While preserving traditional culture and heritage, the university endeavors to contribute to the creation of a society grounded in diversity and inclusion. This symposium marks the first in a three-part series focusing on the integration of international students into local communities after graduation. In this inaugural session, discussions will center on the reasons why individuals choose to live in “Saitama ” and the challenges faced by stakeholders in various sectors. Representatives from local businesses and community organizations will join the dialogue to foster deeper understanding and promote inclusive regional development.
