Participated in “EAIE 2026,” One of Europe’s Largest International Education Conferences

2026/10/02

Saitama University participated in the “36th Annual EAIE Conference and Exhibition (EAIE 2026),” held in Glasgow, UK, from September 8 to 11, 2026.

EAIE is one of Europe’s largest international higher education conferences, bringing together universities and educational institutions from around the world. This year’s event, held under the theme “The Rhythm of Revolution,” attracted over 7,300 participants from more than 100 countries.
We participated with the aim of strengthening partnerships with overseas partner institutions, further promoting student exchanges, identifying potential new partner institutions, staying abreast of the latest trends in international education, and enhancing our university’s international visibility.

During the event, we held meetings with representatives from 15 partner universities in 8 countries, including Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, and France.
We exchanged views on the status of student exchange and study abroad programs, as well as challenges for expanding future exchanges, thereby further deepening our cooperative relationships. We also actively engaged with potential new partner universities and educational institutions, building valuable networks that will lead to future international collaborations.

In addition, we participated in sessions on topics such as the social impact of internationalization, student-centered study abroad support, and Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL).
Exposure to cutting-edge initiatives undertaken by universities around the world provided a valuable opportunity to gain insights into the further development of the multicultural collaborative learning and international education programs promoted by our university.

By leveraging the networks and information gained through our participation in this year’s EAIE, we will strengthen our partnerships with existing partner institutions and advance our university’s ongoing international expansion, including multicultural collaborative learning and the dispatch and reception of students abroad.
