A welcome party for new students of The International Graduate Program on Civil and Environmental Engineering was held on May 27, 2016 in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.  A total of 43 foreign students, including 32 new students from 16 countries across Asia, the Middle East and Africa, who were admitted to the program under the October 2015 and April 2016 intakes, were welcomed.  The total number of participants reached 68 including Japanese tutors, faculty members, and staff from both the Office of International Affairs and the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.  New students introduced themselves and their home country through the use of visual aids.  All the participants enjoyed the international exchange.
